Julie Freeman, LMT - President & Director Of Education

President and Director of Education Julie Freeman has been a licensed massage therapist since 2012, Julie brings over four decades of experience to her roles as a massage therapist and professor in the medical field. Over the course of her extensive career, she has collaborated with numerous medical professionals, providing consultation on a wide range of subjects, including massage therapy, pathology, pharmacology, and various therapeutic approaches. Her expertise is invaluable in assisting clients and patients with pain relief while effectively managing symptoms.

As an educator and healthcare consultant with a focus on massage therapy, Julie is adept at addressing the nuanced day-to-day variations associated with diverse medical diagnoses. Her scope of expertise encompasses conditions such as pregnancy, cancer, hospice and palliative care, as well as the unique needs of older adults and the chronically ill. Julie has shared her wealth of knowledge through seminars conducted in both higher education institutions and healthcare settings.

While contributing significantly to the academic and healthcare sectors, Julie maintains a private practice. Recently, she achieved a milestone by graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science of Massage Therapy and Health Studies, complemented by a minor in Healthcare Management. This academic accomplishment further enhances Julie's ability to integrate practical insights into her professional endeavors, ensuring a holistic and informed approach to massage therapy and healthcare management. 

Julie Bevel, LMT

Vice President and CFO Julie Bevel has been a licensed massage therapist since 2001 and educator since 2006 when she became the Lead Therapist for 5-Star Spa Bellagio in Las Vegas. Training and supporting an elite team of 70+ therapists, receiving continuing education credentials from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, then starting Fox River MedSpa in 2013 has given her the necessary skills to help manage and shape Massage Therapy Education’s culture. You'll find her supporting students with the schedules and budgets, helping them carve a path to success as they grow into their careers.
