Program Details
Our 600-hour program is structured into three core units: Human Sciences for Massage Therapists, Massage Therapy Techniques & Skills, and Professional Development. We use a variety of teaching styles including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on clinics to ensure a depth of understanding and critical thinking when it comes to bodywork. Our curriculum provides a solid anatomy and kinesiology foundation to build therapeutic skills upon, with a deep focus on whole body functionality and the ability to communicate with clients about the sessions they will craft. The approach of combining physical science with massage flow and personal presence not only challenges students but also empowers them with the competence to reach their career goals.
The Massage Therapy program is 600 clock hours long, required by the State of Illinois Licensing Law and above the 500 hours that are required by AMTA, ABMP, National Certification Board, and the Federation of Licensing Boards’ Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx).
Graduates are ready upon completion to take the licensing exam and to work in a spa, health club, clinic, or private practice.
Our vocational objective at Massage Therapy Education is to equip our students with the comprehensive knowledge and practical skills
necessary to excel in the field of massage therapy. Through our rigorous and innovative curriculum, we aim to foster a deep understanding of human anatomy, bodywork techniques, and paths to succeed as a professional. We do this through blended classroom and clinic time.
Our students graduate with the confidence and competence to pursue diverse career paths in massage therapy, including employment in medical facilities, wellness centers, spas, or as entrepreneurs in private practice. We provide an education that not only prepares our students for licensure but also inspires them to make a positive impact on the well-being of individuals and communities through the power of compassionate touch.
Our program is structured to provide all the material knowledge required to pass the MBLEx, which is the prerequisite for licensing in most states regulating massage therapy.
In our Massage Therapy Education program, students are immersed in a hands-on learning experience, conducting a minimum of 250 massages
within our public massage clinic.
We are a small school that operates in a shared MedSpa facility. This innovative structure offers dual advantages for our students: financial savings and enriched practical experience. By the time you graduate from Massage Therapy Education, you will have a well rounded experiential education that includes 250 clinic sessions in addition to robust classroom hours. This comprehensive experience ensures that you enter the workforce well-prepared and highly skilled in various massage techniques.
Tuition is an affordable $5000 for the 600 hour program.
